SMS Consent Policy
Last Updated: January 8, 2026
AnswerHold provides a call acknowledgment service that allows businesses to respond to inbound phone calls that go unanswered.
How SMS Consent Is Obtained
SMS consent is obtained through caller-initiated contact. When a caller voluntarily places a phone call to a business using AnswerHold, the caller provides implied consent to receive a transactional SMS related to that call if it is unanswered or reaches voicemail.
No marketing or promotional messages are sent.
Message Purpose
SMS messages are transactional and customer-care related only. Messages are used to acknowledge missed or unanswered phone calls and to allow the caller to reply for follow-up.
Message Frequency
Message frequency is limited. In most cases, one SMS is sent following a missed or unanswered call. An additional follow-up message may be sent if no response is received.
Opt-Out Instructions
Callers may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP. Upon opting out, no further SMS messages will be sent.
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply based on the caller’s mobile carrier plan.
Data Use and Privacy
Phone numbers and message content are used solely for the purpose of responding to caller-initiated inquiries. AnswerHold does not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers for marketing purposes. For more information, please review our [Privacy Policy].
